About

Hello, what’s your name?
The name’s Wong, just the first name, though. Well, I don’t really share my (real) full name in the Internet personally due to privacy and confidentiality. Who knows people may end up looking up your private information when they know your real name. Besides, what’s so valuable about my name too!

Where are you currently living?
Don’t expect me to be a rural boy, I’m just an ordinary Malaysian Chinese living in the metropolitan of Kuala Lumpur. And to be a lil’ more specific, the infamous hill of Bukit Jalil is where my soul belongs to (erm, at least it’s just next to my place).

Okay then, how old are you now?
Pretty much a youngster on the route to the adulthood, I’m still very much a free-spirited, carefree and cheerful teenager, originally born in Selayang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. (Not really a pure, KL-born teen.) I do include my exact age, since I hardly update this page.

And then again, life goes on as usual. Just recently turned into a young adult, 18 years old which isn’t really my thing. I’ve gotta’ admit that I rather be a child or teenager than being an adult. There are just too many hassles that adults have to take. (sigh)

So, what do you do in your free time?
Nothing much, surfing the Internet, watching online videos, reading a fiction, listening to music and many more. Nope, I’m not like most Malaysians out there who would spend more time with the ‘idiot box’, which I still find it ridiculously boring especially in the afternoon where TV stations broadcast Thai, Taiwanese or Korean drama series.

Your main interest? Or shall I say, which is your favourite field?
Without much doubt, my main interest (when it comes to using the Internet) is of course, technology, gadgets and anything that touches the field of technology. Thus, I do sometime coin myself as a ‘technologist’, specifically due to my unbearable addiction for all the latest (and coolest) technologies and gadgets. Nevertheless, I read most of these news from Neowin.net, Engadget, Download Squad, ActiveWin and Lifehacker.

In the real life, I favour medicine excessively. I don’t know why, but I love the idea of studying the human body and dissecting animals. And when it comes to topics involving the immune system of the human body, I can remember them pretty well. And on the other side, computer and technology are major parts of my life. I did enjoy messing up software and system settings while I was younger back then, which contributes so much that I can now do advanced (and some specialised) troubleshooting. It’s one thing I am really proud of, haha.

And when it comes to technology, I favour almost all sorts of technologies, from audio fidelity, graphic processing to nanotechnology. Gadgets are not left out too, eg. Apple iPod, Creative ZEN X-fi, iPhone, Nokia N96, Sony Ericsson C905. Too many to list. (cough)

A bit of your personal background, please.
The corner, double-storey house I’m living in now, is actually my third house. With my first house in Selayang after I was born, my parents later decided to buy another house in Seri Petaling, which is my current house. While it was under construction, I continued much of childhood in the Sungai Besi house shared by my father’s side relatives.

It was pretty soon after I moved into my Seri Petaling house that I discovered my first experience with computer (which was a MS-DOS machine at that time). Clear enough, I learned using a computer very quickly. Then again, after years, the computer was replaced by a Pentium 2 machine equipped with Windows 98 Second Edition. Once again, in the year of 2006, that was when I got this (quite) high-end Dell Dimension gaming desktop geared with NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE (which is pretty much a very low-end GPU now), Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeMusic, a 250 GB SATA hardrive, and a set of 5.1 surround speakers.

Oh, why am I talking about computers when I’m supposed to describe my personal background? Lost of transaction, I guess…

Okay, back to this blog, why the name, “S.I.M.P.L.I.C.I.T.Y”?
There’s no specific reason to that question. I simply find the name more or less, something ‘unusual’ and unique. Phrase of words as its name seems to be too common out there, instead I gave it a quick thought and eventually came up with this name. Interesting, huh? (Maybe not.)

Finally, since when do you start blogging?
I started blogging since the advent of the blogging lunacy, which drew back to about 2 or 3 years ago. In spite of that, every single time I started blogging, I’ll stop updating my blog in the next minute. That simply explained my lack of interest for blogging (and Friendster, especially). This time, however, I have a different mindset. I will usually tell myself, “I shall blog like those bloggers out there. Must stay updated!”

Hopefully I’ll not stop blogging, for now (at least). :-)
