Away from the world.

by W. Jiann on Apr.28, 2009, under Miscellaneous

It’s been a century ago since my last post in this blog.

Over these weeks, things changed so much. It’s not quite how I would describe it, just that I have both enjoyed as well as faced a list of dissatisfactions and unhappiness over these period, in Victoria Institution, my sweety-homey home, and everything that has to do with my life.

Sometimes life is so unpredictable.
And as expectantly, I am making a comeback to regular blogging.

I never said that I did not blog anymore, I actually did, just that I have a resemblance to have retired from “regular blogging”.
*Yawn*

Pin-drop silence

by W. Jiann on Apr.15, 2009, under School life

I’ve been pretty much silent for these several days. In fact, I still feel bored of blogging, at least the way I am blogging here.

Speaking of silence, I could still remember a phrase that has always been mentioned by a former PK HEM (Hal Ehwal Murid) during my time, who repetitively mention words like, “I want pin-drop silence!” during assembly time. I believe some of you could remember it. Was it ‘the’ PK HEM or Mr. Wong Chee Kheon, our ex-principal?

Couldn’t remember that part well.

I just did nothing much with my blog, except for the part where I edited the link for Amelia’s blog, as well as added Ed-Edily’s blog too. Mentioning that as well, I finally found my long-lost friend, Ed. He left to Kajang just after Form 1, and since then, I never get to contact him until now. Haha, those times.

Still in my mind, all those fond memories. (Giggling)

Pending

by W. Jiann on Apr.10, 2009, under Miscellaneous

I have a review pending, basically a review and comparison of what I have previously promised to do (at least to myself). Between the annual magazine published by Victoria Institution, “The Victorian”, and on the other hand, “VISI” by SMK Bandar Baru Seri Petaling.

Turned out to be pretty interesting to me, at first. Upon writing only the first part of it, I actually lost interest and already felt like, “Gosh! I wanna’ stop writing already! This is getting boring!”

That explains the delay. Oh well.

Adios, for now.

Being a True Victorian is all about flying!

Confused, ask me. ^^

Reminiscence of the past week

by W. Jiann on Apr.02, 2009, under Speaking of casual lifestyle...

I’ve been awfully quiet for quite a while, one whole week precisely. Well, I have nothing much to blog about, additionally I have been lazy like a piglet lately.

For the past week, I actually did quite many things. First of all, I never attended school last Wednesday and Thursday because the entire Victoria Institution was so busy with their preparations for the sports day. I am supposedly involved in the decoration for my house, “Thamboosamy“, however you can say that I refuse to cooperate. Oh well. Speaking of a hard-headed boy like me. Haha.

On Thursday, while I was enjoying my time in home unlike my friends who were mostly involved in sports day, I actually made an effort to return to my alma mater, SMK Bandar Baru Seri Petaling. That morning I went out for breakfast with my dad, before being dropped off at the entrance of SMKBBSP at about 8.30 a.m. in the morning. A bit too early, huh? For me, absolutely yes! Upon walking past the school gate, I would expect that Indian guard in front to stop me and request me to sign the guest book before entering the school. Well, that didn’t not happen. Good for me.

And then, I can see students in lines on the assembly field. Initially I thought, “Hey! They’re still having assembly at 8.30?! Ohh, I sure have come too early!”

I could hear Puan Norlianah Koh’s voice on the microphone pretty loud and clear. From then, only have I come to realize that the students were having a rehearsal (raptai sukan) for next Tuesday’s sports day (which was this Tuesday). Went to the staff room straight away, like what I would always do during my time in SMKBBSP. Spent some time chatting with my former teachers, finding some known friends, walking here and there, etc.

Ohh, honestly speaking, I did come with a purpose, actually. I have always wanted to find time to return to school to take the official Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) certificate for my SPM results. So, coming to this school on that day was not at random, (as if I have nothing else to do), and additionally I did message Miss Sim about my planned return to SMKBBSP before that. Haha.

One phrase: I MISS SMKBBSP SO MUCH!

Last Saturday was VI’s annual sports day, which I did not attend too. Now, I do sound more like an unethical student, a.k.a. pelajar yang tidak bermoral dan berdisiplin. However I was glad that my house for sports, Thamboosamy remains as the champion for the 4th or 5th consecutive year.

There weren’t anything much this week. Today we had a birthday party at class for Reuben, which is supposedly tomorrow. He won’t be in school tomorrow, so we decided to celebrate it today. Something interesting about it was that, the party was organized by Reuben’s parents, and not us! His parents brought so much food, all placed on the tables in my class. White rice, vegetables, mutton curry (which I couldn’t eat), fried chicken, and lots of steamed frankfurters. Food were all right, but the birthday cake was nice. A Secret Recipe chocolate with almonds (or walnuts) cake.

Speaking of free meal. Haha.

This week we all will be having a trial test for Malaysian University English Test (MUET) speaking examination. Hope I will do well in this one, more importantly in the real tests too!
