A little recipe to happiness
by W. Jiann on Nov.30, 2008, under Miscellaneous
Let’s do some cooking now. This time, we shall make a burger set meal. Yummy.
And, the ingredients are: -

Check out the mini pickles, onions and tomato!

The burger is a little over one inch tall and about an inch wide.

Yep, it's real.
And if you’re wondering, my answer is, “Yes, it is the smallest (and edible, of course) burger set meal in the world.” Everything is indeed, hand-made, the soda, tray, fries and the burger. Probably you won’t even want to stuff yourself with this, instead you spend your time staring at the little thingy. Cute, isn’t it?
Check out the full recipe for the smallest burger meal you’ve ever seen.

A Healthy Disregard for the Impossible
by W. Jiann on Nov.29, 2008, under Something called "life"
Moments ago, I was actually halfway sleeping until the moment where my parents annoyed me to search for something. Looks like I will remain active for the time being. By the way, as the title speaks for itself, it is indeed a very eye-catching title. It is actually the very first chapter in the non-fiction book, “The Google Book” by David A. Vise, as briefly mentioned in the previous post.
Nevertheless, I never have any intention of republishing and reproducing the contents of the specific chapter here, as it is strictly against the copyrights of the authors as well as the publisher. However, there are several things in this book that are worth sharing with everyone.
As described in the book, Google is founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. It is indeed, a very young company, if you compared to other big names, namely Yahoo!, Microsoft and AltaVista. Despite that, among all these IT companies, Google emerges as the leader in the field, far exceeding Microsoft, Yahoo! and others. Okay, that’s not important, in this case.
What I am trying to highlight here is, you must have a healthy disregard for the impossible. In other words, do things that most people would not do. And if you’re wondering, silly and immoral acts, such as committing suicide, raping and doing drugs do not count, though. Haha. Of course, this is not first highlighted in the book. Instead, this piece of advice has already been around since years, decades or perhaps, centuries ago. The point is, instead of taking the ordinary route, you can instead take an alternative, smart way to achieving success. I know this sounds a little confusing, but try picturing the situation below.
Let’s just say that you would like to be a successful person. And the important thing here is, success can be achieved in many, different ways. If you remain like how others do, the process of being successful is likely to be slower. For example: every single day, you wake up early, then go to work, and finally return home and relax. This way, you earn and eventually have to spend for living. Success can actually be hastened by putting an extra step (or a few) in your daily life. You could always start an online business, write a book, etc. in the midst of your working and social life. This is, of course, not what everyone will do, especially among working adults and annoying teens like me. Haha.
With extra effort, it is of course, easier to achive success. In reality, there are also other factors behind one’s success. The key is, do not give up!
3M
by W. Jiann on Nov.29, 2008, under Speaking of casual lifestyle...
Allow me to start this post with a little horror.

(Creepy background music) Scary, ain’t it?
It’s 4:46 AM now, and I just woke up about an hour ago. (Yawn) Initially intending to conquer the computer after coming home from Suria KLCC at about 10:30 PM, instead my elder brother was playing the game, “Brother in Arms” by Ubisoft. Thus, this prompted me to go for other alternatives to quench my boredom. While still carrying the hope for using the computer (at that particular moment), I was reading the book entitled, “The Google Story” by David A. Vise, for a while. It is quite an interesting biography, I’ve gotta’ say. Not my first, though. My first was the book, “iWoz” by Steve Wozniak and Gina Smith. By the way, reading that book sorta’ rendered me to the ‘really sleepy’ mode, so then I went to bed, at 10:40 something, if I’m not mistaken.

The highlights for yesterday (which was when I go to KLCC with my parents), were not that interesting, though. Everything was normal, except for certain things. First was the queue at Masjid Jamek STAR (not LRT) station, which leads to KLCC. Upon reaching the lower ground floor of the station (where you wait for the train to come), from on top you could see people queueing up to enter the train! I was surprised physically and mentally. I wondered, “When did Malaysian become so courteous?! They even queued up in straight lines!” Yup, I’m overall disturbed. A quick look at the situation indicated the main reason behind their ‘courtesy’ is due to, the staff there who were controlling the situation there. So, it kinda’ prove that their ‘courtesy’ is fake. In this case, I am well-informed about this, as a news article in TheStar newspaper about a week or 2 ago did mention that the company for LRT and STAR stations (RapidKL) had already implemented this act to control the situation in the stations. Despite that, I still don’t see it in other LRT and STAR stations, except at the Masjid Jamek STAR station. So, this sorta’ tell me that, Malaysians aren’t that courteous, afterall.
And when I have arrived at the KLCC station, what I saw first was that, people (who were coming back from KLCC) were rushing towards the trains. (This time no queuing up, though. Haha.) I was like, “Okay, is there a fire or anything?” Continued going up the stairs, and I was surprised too see a large volume of people entering the station (obviously more than 100, perhaps 200 or so) squeezing themselves through the few ‘ticket barriers’. No queuing up as well, and everyone was pushing themselves to the limits! Yet again, this proves that Malaysians have no courtesy, not all though. The fact that Malaysians being courteous is a real mind-blowing thing, because I’ve never seen regard Malaysians to be courteous, generally speaking. Ugly Malaysians, in other words. So, at least this makes me feel a little more relieved. At least I know that I’m still normal!
Earlier this afternoon as I was talking to Sylvea, she mentioned a word that is completely out of my dictionary, even till now. It’s not really a word, though. More of an abbreviation, I believe. And, it is “3M”. I did ask her, but she didn’t give me a reply on that matter. Haha. So, I wondered, is “3M” like what shown below?

So, m&m + M (for McDonald’s) = 3M ???
Just back from MidValley…
by W. Jiann on Nov.27, 2008, under Miscellaneous
Just back from MidValley about an hour ago, it was plain boring, etc. My parents went there for the sales in the Metrojaya department store. Can’t really explain much about my mum’s addiction to shopping, a.k.a. she’s a shopaholic. Speaking of that as well, I am also more or less a shopaholic, as well. I don’t shop as often as many females nowadays, and I don’t shop for clothings, cosmetics and accessories either. Most of the times I go for tech products and things of my interest. I like certain clothings as well, some brands of my choice include Billabong, Adidas, Reebok, Nike and NiC (by Nicole). For tech stuff, I go to shops like Machines (a.k.a. Apples computers), ordinary computer shops, SenQ, etc. Gotta’ admit that I’m a little geeky.
Oh yeah, it was quite a coincidence that I met the PK Kokurikulum and the discipline teacher of SMK Victoria (a.k.a. Victoria Institutions), En. Othman in MidValley, not only once, but twice. En. Othman is nevertheless, one of the most popular teachers (if not the most popular) in VI, the whole Forms would cheer for the teacher whenever he is speaking during the assembly. Yeah, it is a very exciting thing to see whenever you could see their spirit for the teacher. And actually, I know who he is, but he doesn’t know me, haha. He’s a wacky teacher, from what I could see, despite being very strict in discipline. First I saw him in the Metrojaya department store, in the female clothings department (with his wife, of course). The second sight of him was at the Nando’s restaurant on the Lower Ground floor of MidValley. What a coincidence!
Later we had dinner at KFC. And for the first time, my dad requested for KFC, without anyone giving any suggestion at all. My reaction was like, “Err… since when did my father actually likes KFC?” With that question puzzling my mind, I left that place with a new, undiscovered mystery.
College boy
by W. Jiann on Nov.26, 2008, under Something called "life"
Currently listening to: “Devil Inside”, by Utada.
Yesterday was a (slightly) tiring day. Had to wake up at about 7.30 a.m. in the morning, and get prepared (as well as some ‘computer-ing’). Left the house at about 9.10 a.m. to the Bukit Jalil LRT station, I felt sorta’ different yesterday. I intended to post this yesterday, but seeing that I’m ridiculously bored now, I decided to post it today. Haha. And yeah, I do feel a little different while in the LRT station. Why? I was wearing casually, ‘equipped’ with a (small) backpack and a folder. While I know that feeling was sorta’ lame, but I admit I feel like a college boy. And conveniently enough, there were many real (I guess so…) college students going to college. I wore a pure black, Adidas t-shirt, a slightly-brownish (I’m poor in naming colours) Smart Connexion long pant and a black Reebok sports shoe. And with my skyblue backpack, and a translucent plastic folder, I feel so much like a college boy already. And you know what, I even thought about answer people’s questions if anyone asks which college I’m from.
In my wonderously ‘amazing power of imagination’, the conversation I can imagine is something like this.
Stranger: Hey boy, which college are you from?
Jiann: Ohh, I’m from Taylor’s. (Show off! Show off!)
Stranger: I see, so what you’re studying now? (“The guy must be showing off,” he thought.)
Jiann: Err… medicine. (Taylor’s has medicine? Fake!)
Well, can’t say much about it. I just some sort of, imagine the situation. Besides, I know being a real college student doesn’t make much of a deal either. I just feel a little sense of pride at that moment, yeah. But, there isn’t much to be proud of being a college student. Triple lameness!
And back to today, I am still bored. Life during holidays is boring, extremely boring, especially if you have no plans for the holidays or nothing interesting to do at all. Coming back to real-life fact, studying is in fact, an enjoyable thing to do. While we all have examinations, tests, assessments and etc, which 99.99% of us hate about, regardless whether in schools, colleges or universities; studying is indeed an enjoyable thing. Indeed, many are contantly making negative statements about studying, e.g. “Studying is killing me!”, “I hate exams!” and “I rather work than studying”. I won’t say that I’m those studios kind, I just think that once you have grown up, and working (or hunting for a job), life is much more difficult that way.
Regardless if one is educated, or non-educated, working life is much more difficult. Despite how difficult it is, working life is best to be enjoyed as well, with that you’ll kinda’ enjoy working more. And about education, my personal view about one’s education is, education doesn’t guarantee one’s future. I hate the fact that my parents keep grumbling that education is the key to success, a better life, etc. That way, it kinda’ sound more like if you can’t study, your life will meet failure, financial problems, never meet success and so on. As quoted by one of my most honoured teachers, Madam Sheela, she told me that, education isn’t everything. Education is just a minor part of one’s life. There are indeed, much more factors which determine our success, not education even though it plays a small part too. I can still recall some advices she gave me, before leaving to the West Sussex, England, United Kingdom. Miss her a lot, though.
And the other thing I really hate about is, nowadays people only think about making money. On top of that, I strongly object to people’s mindsets nowadays. One significant example is like this; whenever companies (especially big ones) are hiring people, they look at a person’s academic qualification as a major factor to getting hired. I don’t like this at all, because I strongly believe that education isn’t everything, and it is the qualities and values in a person that should be considered for vacancy. A phrase to explain it all: people with positive qualities and values (such as good leadership, skillfulness, patience) are way better than highly-educated people without these qualities. In this case, I don’t say, “… are way better than highly-educated people.” Obviously, there are some educated people who are great leaders and have positive etiquette.
Typealyzer
by W. Jiann on Nov.24, 2008, under Miscellaneous
I discovered a rather cool website, it is known as Typealyzer. Interestingly enough, Typealyzer analyzes what type of blog a person has. In other word, it determines the characteristic, personality of a blogger based on several factors, such as the style of writing, words used, etc. Well, I’m not gonna’ explain this much, just take a look at its About page for more information.
So, why wait, check it out immediately! Click here!
And if you’re wondering what type of blog this is, allow me to share it with you. Oh, before that, the analysis is actually done before posting this particular post, while I’m currently typing this post. In other words, the test analyzes all my blog posts, up to my previous post, which is regarding a student getting arrested for ‘passing gas’. (Laughing out loud)
ISFP – The Artists
The gentle and compassionate type. They are especially attuned their inner values and what other people need. They are not friends of many words and tend to take the worries of the world on their shoulders. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and have to look out not to be taken advantage of.
They often prefer working quietly, behind the scene as a part of a team. They tend to value their friends and family above what they do for a living.
Analysis
This show what parts of the brain that were dominant during writing.

Try it while you can! Oh yeah, an important note here. The results of the analysis done by Typealyzer keeps changing as you have more new posts in your blog. This is mainly due to the different amount of words used, etc. I sorta’ realized that, when I first tried the analysis this morning at about 3 o’clock. Before having the previous post, the analysis showed that I was the “ESFP – The Performers” type; in a brief description, the entertaining and friendly type. And in terms of the brain chart, it’s more or less, more balanced in all parts of the brain, unlike the current one with a little more on the Feeling (F) side. Looks like my grades have gone down… (Sobbing)
One more website to share. It is GenderAnalyzer, with a tagline, “Man or woman – who is writing that blog?”. Clear enough, GenderAnalyzer determines if a blog, website or homepage is written by a man or woman. I gave it another shot. One before the previous post, one with that as well. And, BANG…!!!
The result shown is,
“We guess http://simplicity.elementfx.com is written by a man (55%), however it’s quite gender neutral.”
My initial reaction is like, “Err… okay. While I’m still a guy (lucky me), the gender neutral thingy is sorta’ indescribable and disturbing.” Hey, that is not right!
Student arrested for ‘passing gas’
by W. Jiann on Nov.24, 2008, under Miscellaneous
The title itself sounds odd enough, but it’s true. According to a news article in Local6.com, a local Orlando news network in the United States of America; a student at a Florida school has been arrested after authorities say he was “passing gas” and turned off his classmates’ computers.
According to a report released Friday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the 13-year-old boy “continually disrupted his classroom environment” by intentionally breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using.
My personal opinion: So, if one keeps ‘breaking wind’ in classroom, lecture hall, etc, he/she will be charged for intentionally disrupting the class. Wow, look at how the world has changed! One phrase to say it all, change has come, really.
Thanks to Sylvea, I’m…
by W. Jiann on Nov.23, 2008, under Miscellaneous

Let me introduce, this is the all-time famous creature of the year, Domo-kun.
Domo ( どーもくん, Dōmo-kun ) is the official mascot for one of Japan’s major boradcaster, ( 日本放送協会 Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai ). Never really expected that this little cutie, creature is actually an official mascot for a broadcaster! Haha. Rather unexpected, but that doesn’t really matter to me. Gotta’ admit that those Japanese who invented this creature are fantastic! And ohh, the picture above is not how the real thing looks, actually. Go google for it, instead. Seriously, it’s so cute that it kinda’ reminds me of hashbrowns. (Going hungry now, sorry.)
Okay, back to the topic. Thanks to Sylvea, I (am/have) …
- Able to recover my old, close friendship with her. And yes, she’s an old friend. (Yep, olddd… friend of mine. Have to emphasize this more. Haha.)
- Realised that college life is actually not that carefree and cool, afterall.
- Realised that she has more trouble than I do! What a life, Sylvea!
- Excited that the world actually exists.
- Forced to blog, again. (Not really ‘force’, but you’ll understand…)
- A happier person. Yeah right?!
- Bond, (????) Bond. Thanks, Bond Girl! And yeah, can I have my 007 gun back?
- A boring person, already. Yawn…
- Saying, “Okay, now I’m really speechless. I dunno’ what to write now!”
Well, I’m rather speechless already. Please know one thing, I’m no Sylvea, and other bloggers who dump every single details into their blogs. I just naturally have no great interest in blogging, honestly speaking. Haha. The reason why I’m blogging now is, to do what teens do nowadays. Oh, speaking of being teens, Sylvea makes me feel like a teen again! Man, I do feel young with you around! Haha… (Triple lameness)

All hail Bender! All hail Bender! If you’re a fan of Futurama, you would have already known who the robot is. I’m a loyal fan to Futurama, The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, ‘Currypuff’ Girls, etc. I do enjoy cartoons from a very young age, till now! No, it’s not a lame thing. It’s just all about being ‘young-at-heart’. Hehe. So, this rather proves that I am still a kid, not a “kid” as in a goat kid.
(Okay, now I really hate the fact that I’m losing my ideas on what else to write.)
Thermometer in my head: 63 °C
ROARRR!!! Temperature is quickly going up!
Erm, at the particular time, I’m ridiculously bored.
And when I’m bored, I chat.
And when I’m out of topic while chatting, I surf the web.
And when I’m bored of surfing the web, I do nothing.
And when I’m doing nothing, I will be bored to death.
And when I’m bored to death, I die.
And when I’m dead, I step on the ‘path’ to heaven.
And when I’m already in heaven, I will sit at one corner, and do nothing.
And when I’m too bored there, I feel like becoming human again.
And when I’m a human again, the whole thing repeats.
Lesson learned: Appreciate everything you’ve got. The time, the friends, the person you are, etc. Okay, is this a blog for counselling? No. Okay, that does it! I am extremely bored already.
Temperature in my head: 125 °C (Above the boiling point!)
Okay, I’m dead now. Let me spell it out for you, D.E.A.D.
Of the recent days.
by W. Jiann on Nov.22, 2008, under Miscellaneous
Three months, and I’m still sober… Yeap, it’s from the hit, “Sober” by Kelly Clarkson. Speaking of Kelly, she has been rather inactive for the recent months. I’ve been a crazy fan of Kelly since several years ago. In Wikipedia, it is stated that she is working on her next studio album, hopefully this one will turn out good, unlike “My December” which I think is a major breakdown. I personally think that she was way better during her American Idol time, seriously.
I’ve been ridiculously bored these several days, now that I’ve completed my Biology assignment. Before that, I was like, for the first time I’ve been spending so much time in finishing a report, folio, and so on. And with that already done, I hardly do anything now. Supposedly a good boy spends their valuable time in studying, well I’m spending my free hours surfing for the same stuff, repetitively and without a purpose. And if you were wondering, I surf for updated news, tech news to be exact. And nope, I don’t go for (ehem) censored things, seriously. Haha. I sorta’ a computer, tech geek. Gotta’ admit that, as I very often read about latest news like the Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 7, USB 3.0, Intel i7 processors, etc.
Meanwhile, I’ve been rather late in delivering the 2nd episode for the epic, Amelia vs. WJ. Indeed, it was my first in the market of directing. Not to mention that I’m gonna’ be the next Steven Spielberg. (Shush) Thanks, Amelia for giving me the chance to use your name! (Laughing out loud…) So, to all fans, sorry to be late, and behold the next episode! And soon enough, Amelia and I are gonna’ make a major Hollywood debut! Hehehe…
Okay, now I’m seriously running out of writability fuel. Completely out of things to say, and things to think about, since my eyes are already heavy. Hehe…
Oh yeah, at the mean time, it seems like only two are currently online, at the time of press. One is the night owl, Woei Jiann (the rap***), and my sexytary, Lee Ling. It’s exactly 4:02 AM, as shown in the taskbar. And she’s rather busy working on her assignment. I was surprised, honestly. How could she be so hardworking already? (Laughing)
And before I forget, I miss my sexytary so much! And, here’s to Lee Ling!!! (Drumroll) (Band playing)
